The response has been great for this event! I finally have all the details straightened out and the dinner booked. So here it is finally, the schedule:

Friday May 20, 2005

6:00pm - Dinner Ride to Pete’s Place in Krebs, Ok. We will meet at the main parking area at Robbers Cave Park. You can also meet us at Pete’s at 7:00pm.

Evening social on the patio behind the lodge rooms after returning from dinnner.

Saturday May 21, 2005

8:30am Meeting and Pre-ride discussions at the main parking area at Robbers Cave. (by the Lake)

9:00am Departing for group ride to Talimena Scenic Drive.

Lunch: At Queen Wilhelmina Lodge or Mena, Ar

7:00pm Group Dinner at #7 Pavilion at Robbers Cave. Pavilion is located just below the lodge office. BBQ dinner will be catered with a cost of $10 per person. If you haven’t already, drop me an email so I have an acurate count for dinner. email link. Don’t miss the dinner, as we might just have some good stuff to give away!

Depart for home!

Its daybreak, Tuesday April 19, everything’s packed and loaded and the weather is clear, running in the low 30’s.

I decided to take the back roads out of town to avoid any rush hour traffic in the big city. O.K. so there’s no heavy traffic at anytime but the back way is a little more scenic and does bypass the signals.

General plans:
Day 1 - take highway 160W with the plan of hitting Four Corners National Monument, Monument Valley, and ending up in Page, AZ for the night.
Day 2/3 - Hwy 89N to Kanab, UT with plans to stop for breakfast, move on to tour Zion National Park and then down I-15 to Las Vegas to visit my daughter for a couple of days.
Day 4 - head to Laughlin, make some rounds through the event and end up in Lake Havasu City in time for check-in and to meet some of the group; VRCC, Vermin, VOAI
Day 5 – maybe take another pass through Laughlin and begin the tour back home
